I'm renting or purchasing a pump for mother's room at work. How do I get a breastpump?
Email or call the Healthy Horizons Corporate office at 650-579-2726. Most companies purchase or rent the Medela Symphony or Ameda Platinum. Both options are available to purchase or rent. All pumps are subject to local sales tax.
I'm a parent. How do I rent a breastpump?
Rent a pump online at https://www.breastpumprentalsonline.com. All locations rent pumps online. Pumps can be shipped or picked-up in person. Many health insurance companies work with families to reimburse pump rentals. There is a one week minimum rental on all breastpumps, and a one month minimum if rented from Stanford LPCH. The daily rate applies only after the pump has been rented at the weekly rate. All pumps are subject to local sales tax.
Should I use a hospital grade breastpump?
Hospital Grade Breastpumps are the strongest and most durable breastpumps available to breastfeeding moms. These pumps effectively stimulate you to adequately increase your breastmilk production and output.
Hospital Grade Pumps have stronger, more powerful motors that provide a higher level of suction and more efficient pumping. These pumps are larger and heavier than their personal pump counterparts.
There are many different reasons that make a Hospital Grade Breastpump the appropriate choice,
including (but not limited to):
Increases Low Milk Supply
Allows Nipple Trauma to Heal
Provides Milk for Premature or Sick Infants
Provides Milk for Twins or Other Multiples
Can multiple moms use a breastpump?
While personal use breastpumps are intended for use by only one mother, hospital grade pumps are designed and approved by the FDA to be safe for multiple users. Hospital grade breastpumps can be used by more than one mom because they are designed with barriers that prevent cross contamination. When multiple moms use a Hospital Grade Breastpump, each mother will need to use her own accessory kit. All of the necessary accessory pieces are available for purchase at our Breastfeeding Centers.
How can I use my insurance to cover my breastpump?
Healthy Horizons is a DME, we can provide a Superbill for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement according to your plan. We do not guanantee reimbursement. More information on insurance can be found here.
